Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective Date: 29 August 2025
1. General Rule
Donations made to Lift It Humanity are, by default, non-refundable. Once a contribution is successfully received and a receipt is issued, it is allocated to our charitable programs.
2. Exceptions Where Refunds May Be Considered
We will review refund requests in the following limited scenarios:
- Duplicate transaction: You accidentally donated more than once for the same intent.
- Wrong amount entry: A clear typographical error (e.g., ₹50,000 instead of ₹5,000).
- Unauthorized / fraudulent payment: The payment was not authorized by the card/account holder.
- Technical failure: You were charged but did not receive confirmation/receipt due to a payment gateway error.
* Lift It Humanity reserves the right to request supporting documents/screenshots to verify the claim.
3. How to Request a Refund
- Email us at info@liftithumanity.in from your registered email ID.
- Include: full name, phone number, transaction ID, date, amount, and reason for refund.
- Attach any evidence (bank SMS, statement, screenshots) that helps us verify.
4. Assessment & Timelines
- We acknowledge your request within 3–5 working days.
- After verification, approved refunds are initiated within 7–10 working days.
- The amount will be refunded to the original payment method only.
5. Subscription (EMI) / Monthly Donations
- You can cancel future cycles of your monthly donation at any time (see Section 6).
- Refunds for already charged cycles are not assured and are reviewed only under Section 2 exceptions.
6. Cancelling Future Monthly Donations
To cancel a recurring mandate (card/UPI/eMandate), please write to us at info@liftithumanity.in. If possible, contact us at least 3 working days before the next scheduled charge, so the instruction can be processed in time. You may also cancel from your bank/UPI app if they provide that option.
7. Tax Receipts
In case of a refund, any tax deduction benefit or certificate related to the refunded amount will be considered null and void. You agree not to claim any tax benefit for a refunded donation.
